The Xiaomi Mi Band 7, or Xiaomi Smart Band 7, is now official. Its presentation in China was expected and the manufacturer was there to unveil the new version of its connected bracelet. There remains a doubt about the name of the bracelet at the international level, and the presence or not of the mention Mi. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Mi Band 7 is official and remains true to the principles of the range. The best-selling bracelet in the world seduces for its value for money, offering many options for a very affordable price.
For this new version, Xiaomi equips its bracelet with a 1.62-inch AMOLED screen. It offers a definition of 192 x 490 pixels and replaces the 1.56-inch screen of the current model. The manufacturer mentions a 25% increased “screen display area” and you will need to have the bracelet in your possession to better discover this change. The screen offers a maximum brightness of 500 nits and has an always-on function (permanent on).
Bigger screen and new battery.
As with the previous version, Xiaomi offers its Mi Band 7 in two versions. One has an NFC chip and the other does not, which has a very light weight on the bracelet (13.8 g against 13.5 g) and price. In both cases, there is a 180 mAh battery that promises autonomy of up to 14 days. The battery capacity has been revised upwards (125 mAh on the Mi Band 6) to offer equivalent autonomy. The latter can also vary depending on usage and will take about 2 hours to fully charge.
The bracelet claims a water resistance level of 5 ATM and still includes a large number of sensors. The Xiaomi Smart Band 7 offers heart rate measurement, blood oxygen level (SpO2) or activity tracking. The device supports 120 sports modes, including running, walking and cycling. Some functions were already offered by the previous version. Finally, customization is always available with many dials and colors.
