Xiaomi today delivers a new interpretation of its HMDI key that allows you to enjoy Android TV on your TV, in 4K and Dolby Vision. The Xiaomi TV Stick 4K is now available.
In mid-December, Xiaomi announced a new version of its HDMI dongle, the Xiaomi TV Stick 4K. Less known than Amazon’s Fire Stick or Chromecast with Google TV, Xiaomi’s HMDI key, however, offers the same services and launches this Thursday, March 3, 2022. This new iteration this time offers 4K support and Dolby technology Vision, specifies Xiaomi in a press release.
Once the Xiaomi TV Stick 4K is connected to your television, you will be able to take advantage of all the functions of Google’s specific operating system, Android TV. This is a version of Android TV based on Android 11.
Xiaomi’s 4K HDMI device
The technical sheet of this new version remains close to the first Xiaomi TV Stick of the name, with 8 GB of storage, 2 GB of RAM and an Amlogic S905Y4 chip. However, this new version now supports Dolby Vision for HDR video, as well as Dolby Atmos and DTS HD for spatialized audio. The dongle is also capable of streaming 4K Ultra HD (3840 x 2160) video files.
Xiaomi’s HDMI key is accompanied by a small remote control that allows you to navigate directly through the interface and even benefits from buttons for direct access to two SVoD services, namely Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. A key has also been added to use the Google voice assistant.
The Xiaomi TV Stick 4K is now available in traditional stores (Fnac, Darty, Boulanger, Électro Dépôt, Carrefour, Cdiscount, etc.) at the retail price of €69.99. However, from March 3 to 9, you benefit from an introductory offer at €59.99.
